Having visited Stavanger on multiple occasions, Thon Hotel Maritim, conveniently located in thecity center, has consistently been our preferred choice of stay. Its combination of comfort and accessibility effectively meets all our needs.

In this review, we'll delve into the hotel's facilities, shedding light on why it has become our go-to hotel in the city.
Hotel Accessibility
Thon Hotel Maritim offers a straightforward entrance with automatic doors, ensuring easy access for all guests. Immediately upon entry, guests are greeted by a reception area for check-in and check-out. Adjacent to the reception, there's a lounge where guests can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee, and for those who prefer the outdoors, the hotel also provides a pleasant outdoor seating area. It's important to note that all rooms are situated above the ground floor, necessitating the use of the hotel's two elevators for access.
Parking Accessibility
While the hotel does not provide its own parking, there are a few street parking spots by the hotel that guests can use for unloading luggage. The disabled parking spot has a 3-hour limit, and other spots come with a 15-minute parking limit. Surrounding street parking options also have similar time constraints. Although there are some parking spots designated for the disabled without any time constraints, we have found none in close proximity to the hotel.
Room Accessibility
Room accessibility is a highlight at the hotel. Hard flooring in the rooms facilitates smooth movement for those with mobility devices. The bathroom is suitably sized and features a roll-in shower, though some might find the toilet seat slightly smaller than preferred. Guests also have access to a small refrigerator in each room for added convenience. Importantly, the twin beds are not only comfortable but thoughtfully designed with legs, enabling lifts to easily fit underneath.
Breakfast Service
Thon Hotel Maritim boasts a breakfast service that effectively combines variety with dietary considerations. A selection ranges from cereals, yogurts, cold cuts, and cheeses to pastries and pancakes. Several warm dishes, including the always-popular freshly fried eggs, are available. Recognizing diverse dietary needs, the hotel offers a selection that includes gluten-free options.
Conclusion
Thon Hotel Maritim in Stavanger offers a blend of features that effectively cater to the varied needs of guests, particularly those looking for accessible amenities in a central location. While there's much to appreciate about the hotel, prospective visitors should be mindful of the parking situation. Still, its prime location and thoughtful accessibility features make it a reliable choice for stays in Stavanger.
